Carey Cloyd, MA, CMT, MFT, Lic. 46162

I graduated with an MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver in 2002. After moving back to the Bay Area, I became certified as a Massage Therapist (CMT) in 2005 from Alive & Well -- Institute of Conscious Bodywork, and in Intuition Medicine® (MIM) from the Academy of Intuition Medicine® in 2007. I have been meeting with clients for more than 15 years, and continue to enjoy the learning and challenges inherent to this craft. My work is informed by a variety of practices, including daily meditation, as well as yoga, movement, and time in nature.

My theoretical orientation is primarily somatic and experiential, which means that I take a body-centered approach that focuses on what is arising in the present moment. Although I work frequently with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues, I have experience in a variety of areas, including spirituality and personal growth. I see adult clients--both individuals and couples--ranging in age from 18 to seniors. My services are generally offered in person, though I am available for phone and video sessions for existing clients.
