My calling as a helper began well before my academic and clinical training. Communication, connection, and empathy are what drive me as a person and therapist. I gained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communication Studies from Florida State University and a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy from San Francisco State University. My clinical experiences of working with individuals and leading groups in addiction recovery and working with students at local high schools have helped pave the way to finding my natural calling in the intimate setting of working one on one with clients. I am motivated by my trainings in the Hakomi method, attachment theory, somatic experiencing, family systems, and mindfulness. I am continually working on improving myelf as a clinician and woman through spiritual practices, hiking, attending workshops, cooking, and music.
