With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring a deep
well of expertise and compassion to my practice as a psychotherapist. I hold a Master’s
degree in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago - School of Social Work
(1998) and have completed more than six years of advanced post-graduate training in
Gestalt psychotherapy. My professional journey includes previously serving as a
therapist at the Gestalt Institute in Columbus, Ohio, and I currently serve as President of
the iRest Institute. In this role, I lead teacher trainings and retreats designed to help
individuals awaken to their most essential nature through the practice of iRest Yoga
Nidra Meditation.
I developed the iRest for Therapists program, which equips psychotherapists with tools
to incorporate this accessible and powerful healing modality into their work. In addition
to being a Certified Yoga Therapist, my training includes Internal Family Systems (IFS),
Polyvagal Theory, couples therapy, trauma-informed approaches, and an extensive
foundation in somatic inquiry and nondual spiritual traditions. These diverse influences
shape my integrative and holistic approach with clients.
In my clinical practice, I weave together Gestalt, psychodynamic, and somatic, body-
centered psychotherapy. My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression,
trauma, grief and end-of-life issues, couples counseling, nervous system regulation, and
major life transitions. I also offer spiritual mentoring for those seeking to connect with
what is most essential in their lives or who are on the path of awakening. I am dedicated
to supporting clients in welcoming all parts of themselves, deepening self-awareness,
clarity, and self-trust. My goal is to help clients unravel limiting beliefs, discover their
inner truth, and embody wholeness and authenticity.
It is a profound honor to facilitate personal transformation and growth. Clients often
experience our work together as a deepening of relational trust, more skillful
communication, and a greater sense of stability and ease as they navigate life. I work
with adults and couples in person in San Anselmo, California at the Interfaith
Counseling Center or virtually through the SimplePractice platform.
