The open invitation to each of us is to be fully alive, grounded in our truest selves and the holy presence that always is.  Attending to these invitations and pursuing spiritual practice, we open to our own inner knowing and our unity with the Divine.

My own experience of God includes times of great beauty and joy and also pain, loss and confusion.  I am draw in by the authentic, often messy, and heartfelt ways that we each experience and respond to God.  I aim to hold both a reverence for and a sense of humor about the richness of all aspects of the spiritual journey.  In my role as a spiritual director I seek to hold space for others and accompany them as they explore their own experience of the Divine, to pay attention to what is alive and stirring in them.

I first came to spiritual direction as a seeker almost twenty years ago.  After 15+ years in direction myself, I followed a call to training as a spiritual director and began the program at San Francisco Theological Seminary (SFTS).  My experience as a seeker is ongoing and is rooted in the Christian tradition, while at the same time I appreciate many different religious traditions and spiritual practices.  My training includes a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction from SFTS and a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.  I provide individual spiritual direction in Marin County, by appointment at the Interfaith Counseling Center in San Anselmo and via Skype/Google Hangouts.
